'''Alamedin Gorge''' – a picturesque gorge located 20 km south of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in the Alamudun district of the Chui region.

== Geography ==
The gorge is situated in the northern part of Kyrgyzstan and is a part of the Kyrgyz Range. Its length exceeds 30 km.

The gorge is traversed by a mountain river of the same name, stretching for about 80 km. Approximately 15 km into the gorge, there is a waterfall with the same name. The difference in altitude between the entrance and the end of the gorge is 1900 meters (excluding nearby peaks).

In the valley of the gorge, there are several high-mountain lakes: Altyn-Tor, Lower Alamedin Lake, South Alamedin Lake, and North Alamedin Lake.

== Excursion Route ==
Initially, one can travel by vehicle about 12 km into the gorge and then commence the hiking route.

There are two main directions: along the western or eastern side of the gorge. It is advisable to choose the western side to reach the Alarchin Waterfall; otherwise, crossing the mountainous, turbulent river will not be possible.

== How to Get to the gorge ==
Alamedin Gorge is one of the closest gorges to the capital city of Bishkek. It takes an average of 30-40 minutes to reach the beginning of the gorge from the city center. On weekends and during peak hours, it might take a little longer.

The route is quite straightforward - head to April 7 Street and continue without turning until you directly enter the gorge. The road extends deep into the gorge for 10 km until you reach the "Tepliye Klyuchi" sanatorium. From there, the valley of the gorge opens up for your hiking tour.
